CPR AND FIRST AID COURSES
Need to Renew your CPR and First Aid?
Where in-person training is not available, the College will accept online training of initial and renewal courses provided that they meet the CHO requirements. We encourage registrants to ensure courses(s) they select cover the following topics:
Health Care Provider Level CPR
- CPR for adults, children, and infants
- First aid treatment for airway, breathing, and circulation emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking
- Public access Automated External Defibrillation (AED) use
- Rescue breathing
- Bag Valve Mask (BVM) use
Standard First Aid
- Secondary survey
- Preventing of disease transmission
- Injuries to the head, spine, bone, muscle, joint and soft tissue
- Wound care, burns
- Sudden medical conditions including choking
- Poisons, substance abuse and misuse

Toronto CPR Offers Special Rates
for OHMA Members
The Toronto CPR – Red Cross Training Partner Standard First Aid & Basic Life Support (BLS) program is now offered in a Blended format which will allow OHMA members to complete half of the course online as a self study (5 hours) and one day (10.5 hours, i.e 10:00 am – 8:30 pm) in-class.
Under current COVID-19 protocol the capacity per course is 10 participants so OHMA members are more than welcome to attend one of the “public” courses in Toronto. The regular cost for this program is $150.00 per person but we can offer OHMA members a discounted rate of $125.00 which includes the tax.
